Brandie DiFalco spent her early years in a small Oregon coastal town that she promptly ran away from at fifteen years old in the late 1990s. She was a houseless teen who spent her days at Powell’s Books, tricking private schools into letting her take classes, and nights finding couches to crash on or having all-night sessions of smoking and drinking coffee at the Roxy.

She still lives in Portland and is happily married with a grown non-binary child who she is immensely proud of. She spends her free time writing and reading literary fiction. You can sometimes find her in the back of a McMenamins bar or one of their soaking pools working on her second novel, War of Art, or singing terrible karaoke with a lot of heart.
